When handling centuries-old masterworks in a heritage setting, traditional drilling is rarely an option. The building features strict structural protections, meaning we could not fix hooks or brackets directly into the historic fabric of the walls.

For a space of this elegance, standard gallery tracks or traditional hanging hooks simply wouldn’t do. The client wanted a system that allowed for effortless rotation of large-scale artworks without compromising the pristine, clean lines of the walls.

Soho is the creative and entertainment centre of London, where heritage architecture meets contemporary design. Recently, Gilbert Art Services was commissioned to take part in an extensive artwork installation for a luxury boutique hotel, bringing a curated, gallery-standard aesthetic to one of the city's most vibrant postcodes.

When installing a solo booth for an artist with such a distinct visual language, the layout is everything. For Senga’s booth at the Saatchi, our goal was to create a perfectly balanced space that allowed each character in the paintings to speak for itself without the walls feeling cluttered.

Our technicians navigated high ceilings and original plasterwork to install a diverse collection that defined the home’s interior character.
