The Saatchi Gallery in Chelsea is one of the leading institutions for contemporary art and innovation. During the Focus Art Fair 2025, the spotlight was firmly on the evolution of Asian art - and few artists captured the imagination quite like Kento Senga.
Gilbert Art Services was honoured to handle the professional installation of Kento Senga’s booth in collaboration with Premium Pages, bringing his iconic philosophy to life from Japan to the heart of SW3.
The Vision for "FiNGAiSM"
Kento Senga’s work is a vibrant explosion of color and character, rooted in the concept of "Fingerism", the idea that our fingers are the primary tools of human connection and creation. His paintings are bold and graphic, meticulously composed with elements of graffiti art.
When installing a solo booth for an artist with such a distinct visual language, the layout is everything. For Senga’s booth at the Saatchi, our goal was to create a perfectly balanced space that allowed each character in the paintings to speak for itself without the walls feeling cluttered.

The Technical Challenge:
Laser-Leveling: Because Senga’s work often features repeating motifs and clean lines, we used laser-guided alignment to ensure the horizontal sight lines across the booth were seamless.
Working to Schedule: Art fairs are high-pressure environments with tight deadlines. We worked quickly to transform the booth into a professional gallery space, ensuring every painting was securely mounted and handled with nitrile gloves to protect the pristine surfaces of the new works.
Lighting & Depth: Senga’s palette is incredibly rich. We positioned the works first before adjusting Saatchi’s professional lighting, ensuring they picked out the colors and shapes to give maximum impact from across the room.
A Global Perspective in Chelsea
Focus Art Fair specialises in showcasing art that we might not usually come into contact with here in The UK. By installing Senga’s work, Gilbert Art Services played a small part in a large cultural conversation. Seeing the reaction of visitors to Senga’s playful yet profound paintings reminded us why we do what we do: the installation is the final step in the artist's creative journey.
The contrast of Senga’s modern, digital-influenced aesthetic against the historic backdrop of the Saatchi Gallery was a highlight of our year.
