Picture Hanging FAQs:

Firstly, you must attach two heavy duty fixings to the back of the picture, one to each side, such as d - rings.
It is then possible to attach heavy duty wire between the two fixings.
If the picture is very heavy, the preferred method is to fit two strap hanger fixings to each side and hang straight off those, without the need for wire.
-
You must ensure you use a level when hanging a picture off two points in the wall. If they’re straight then you have a better chance of levelling the picture once hung.
When hanging the picture, use a level again to make sure it’s straight.
If it’s not straight then take it down and make adjustments to the wall fittings.
You can also use a laser level which can be quite handy if you working solo!
-
This depends on the type of picture hook and the manufacturer’s guidelines. It is also necessary to ensure you use the correct hook for the type of wall you have.
